There are fire safety sign specified in Singapore Standard 508 for display on exit door to prevent the exit being blocked inadvertently. But I rarely come across exit door afixed with such sign. But I do come across quite often exit being blocked, from either inside or outside. Perhaps FSSD should enforce the requirement to have fire safety sign afixed on exit door. QPs and RIs should also ensure this requirement be complied with.
What's the use of having this fire safety sign specified in SS508 but not enforcing it.
